It's the spookiest time of the year!

Celebrate the fall season with our annual Zoo BOO! festival! This year’s festivities will span several weekends throughout the month of October and will include:

  • Hay Maze presented by Stifel
  • Hay Rides (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Stingy Jack’s Trail of Tales train ride
  • Elephant Pumpkin Smash (3PM each day)
  • Scarecrow Making – Bring Your Own “Scare-clothes” (see below)
  • Pumpkin Patch (Pumpkins for purchase)
  • Moon Bounce (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Crafts
  • Costume Contests (Saturday & Sunday only) – 11:30 in Main Valley
  • Trick or Treating throughout the Zoo
  • Animal Ambassadors
  • Face Painting ($$)
  • Fall-themed games (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Special performances (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Access to food trucks and vendors (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Touch-a-Truck (Saturday & Sunday only)
  • Visits from Zoo Mascots

Guests are encouraged to wear costumes and enter into the costume contests taking place at the old elephant barn in Main Valley.

Scarecrow Making – To participate, please bring your own pants, shirt, and accessories! Zoo will provide hay, twine, and some other supplies. Children’s clothes are recommended to help make a more portable scare-friend!
