The Giraffe House building is currently closed. The giraffe and okapi are viewable outdoors as weather conditions allow.
Spring Into Action
Celebrate Earth Day and spring into action to protect wildlife and wild places. Join us throughout the Zoo for keeper chats, educational activities, and more! Along the way, complete our Operation: Conservation activity carrying out missions to protect the planet. Work your way through the Zoo with activities and fun to become a planet protection agent! Visitors who complete the challenge will be entered to win a special prize.
This event is FREE with Zoo admission or membership!

Event schedule:
- 10:00 – 2:00: Participate in our mobile Operation: Conservation activity, leading you through various activities throughout the Zoo
- 10:00 – 2:00: Learn about protecting native species by visiting our partnering local organization tables throughout the Zoo
- 10:00 – 2:00: Learn about turtle tracking and track with our conservation experts in Main Valley
- 10:00 – 2:00: Craft with us and learn the art of recycling in the Penguin Education Center
- 10:00 – 2:00: Help prevent the spread of invasive species with our horticulture experts in Pawprint Park (Main Valley)
