More about featured speaker, Dan Wilson:
Dan is the Oil Programs Operations Coordinator for Tri-State Bird Rescue. He started his journey with Tri-State as a volunteer intern in 2014 while he was attending Delaware Technical Community College. Dan continued to spend his summers with Tri-State, progressing from volunteer intern to senior intern and eventually to a seasonal employee. After graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s in Wildlife Conservation and Ecology, he spent a few years working in industries other than wildlife rehabilitation. Eventually, Dan felt compelled to return to work that he found valuable and fulfilling. In a serendipitous turn of events, Tri-State had openings on their Clinic and Oil Programs teams. Dan applied to both positions at the end of 2019 and was hired onto the Oil Team in June of 2020 as an Operations Specialist. He was promoted to Operations Coordinator in 2021.
