Animal sculptures made of light create a breathtaking, immersive experience starting on Friday, April 4.
BALTIMORE, MD – See the Maryland Zoo in a whole new way during Spring Illuminations, an immersive festival of light sculptures.
Visitors to Spring Illuminations will stroll the Zoo’s campus through mesmerizing, larger than life displays of floral and animal-themed artworks made of steel, silk, and high-efficiency LED lighting created by the world-renowned company Tianyu Arts & Culture – the largest Chinese lantern festival producer in North America.
The after-hours event takes place from 6-10 in the evenings when the Zoo is normally closed. (Tickets do not include daytime Zoo admission and Zoo animals will not be viewable.)
Guests to Spring Illuminations will enjoy:
- special nighttime admission to the Zoo,
- member discounts (for new or existing Zoo members),
- free parking,
- interactive photo opportunities,
- Asian-inspired food and drinks.
There will be a preview night for Zoo members on Thursday, April 3 and the experience opens to the general public starting on Friday, April 4. This unique opportunity lasts until the end of June.
All proceeds from Spring Illuminations ticket sales benefit the Zoo’s animal care and conservation programs.
